Casto Oaks Estate Zinfandel Port is one of our best sellers and has been a staple of the winery since our inception.
It is produced in the Portuguese style and fortified using un-aged brandy.
18 months of aging in neutral American oak gives the wine ample amount of oxidation for balance and complexity without over-oaking it, resulting in a rich color and structure with hints of cocoa, licorice, ripe cherry, and a kiss of vanilla.
Ideal for pairing with any chocolate based dessert or raspberry, cherry and pecan pies, although it’s not so overwhelming that it can’t be enjoyed on its own.
pH 3.5, residual sugar 64 g/l, abv 18%. 95 cases produced.
